Likes Republican's opponent in race for state Senate A clear message from the Republican National Convention is that Republican voters respect character. In California's 19th state Senate District contest there's only one candidate who offers integrity and honesty. Many others see this; Hannah-Beth Jackson has four pages of endorsements on her website. The endorsement section of her opponent's website has been under construction for months. Why wouldn't he want to acknowledge the insurance and tobacco industries that have provided so much of his support? Tony Strickland lacks the moral and ethical fiber that we all want in our representatives. He has purchased phony credentials as an "alternative energy executive" by investing in a company that his voting record suggests he would have opposed. He hasn't refuted false claims made in his name that HannahBeth Jackson has supported tax increases. Tony is expecting that Republicans will only vote for Republicans and that many Democrats and independents will be confused by his phony title. Hannah-Beth Jackson offers a clear choice for every District 19 voter who's willing to see beyond the slanderous TV ads and partisan mailings and see which candidate best supports their own interests and those of California. If you're tired of the routine budget deadlocks, vote for Hannah-Beth Jackson. Nick Fotheringham Thousand Oaks |
