Water will be a dinner topic

Ventura County Supervisor Linda Parks will host the fourth event in her Slow Growth Dinner series at 7 p.m. Wed., Oct. 1 at Tuscany, 968 S. Westlake Blvd., Ste. 4, Westlake Village.

H. David Nahai, general manager of the Department of Water and Power for the city of Los Angeles, will discuss the demands of water at a time of diminishing supply. He'll discuss how the statewide drought began and ways to handle it.

The cost of the dinner is $35 per person.

The public is invited, but reservations are required by calling (805) 373-2564 or e-mailing Linda.Parks@ventura.org.

The event is expected to sell out.
