Sponsorships available for charity poker

A limited number of sponsorships are available for the second annual Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament, a fundraiser for the Kiwanis of Thousand Oaks Foundation. The event will be Sun., Nov. 9 at Borderline Bar & Grill, 99 Rolling Oaks Drive in Thousand Oaks. Sponsorships vary from $200 to $2,500, and each level gets benefits and rewards.

Registration and poker lessons begin at 4 p.m. The poker tournament begins at 5 p.m., and dinner is at 6. Early registration is $35; otherwise it's $45 at the door. The buy-in cost for poker is $150, which gets the participant $10,000 in poker chip "play dough." Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers.
