•Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Christopher K. Adams, along with members of Patrol Squadron 9 "Golden Eagles" stationed at Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, was recently deployed to Ali Air Base, Iraq. Adams is the son of Sue and George Adams of Thousand Oaks and a 2004 graduate of Thousand Oaks High School. He joined the Navy in 2004.

•Navy Seaman Recruit Adam Frost recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. He is a 2008 graduate of Thousand Oaks High School and the son of Janeen and Ralph Frost of Thousand Oaks.
