The annual National Day of Remembrance for Murdered Victims will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thurs., Sept. 25 at Plaza Park, intersection of Fifth and "B" streets, Oxnard.

The event will honor the memories of murdered victims and recognize the impact of homicide on surviving family members and friends.

The program will have a preceremony dove release, music, guest speakers, candle lighting and a Murder Wall with pictures and stories of murdered loved ones.

Ventura County Parents of Murdered Children, a national nonprofit organization, is the event sponsor.
