IRIS SMOOT/Acorn Newspapers FATHER/DAUGHTER FUN- Carrie Mack and her dad, Don, both of Thousand Oaks, examine the inside of an Aeronca Champ 7DC, made in 1947. They were at a commemoration of the Battle of Midway, a major turning point of World War II. The event was at the Commemorative Air Force Aviation Museum in Camarillo on a recent Saturday. Guests also enjoyed WWII flyovers, a display of 1940s automobiles and museum exhibits.
