Chabad of the Conejo to hold High Holy Day services

Chabad of the Conejo will hold its High Holiday services in the grand ballroom of the Hyatt Westlake Plaza, 880 S. Westlake Blvd., Westlake Village.

The schedule is as follows: Rosh Hashana evening, 6:30 p.m., Mon., Sept., 29; Rosh Hashana day, 9:30 a.m. Tues., Sept. 30; Tashlich, 5:15 and 6:30 p.m. Tues., Sept. 30; and Rosh Hashana day two, 9:30 a.m., Wed., Oct. 1. Yom Kippur begins Wed., Oct. 8.

Hotel boardrooms will be used for the junior congregation and teen sessions. The children's program includes prayers, stories, songs, contests, prizes and refreshments.

The services are open to all Jews. There are no membership fees or prior affiliation needed to attend. Hebrew-English prayer books are provided.

The traditional service is blended with contemporary insights. Prayers and customs are explained during the services.
