Locals called to the Torah
      Adam Hammer was called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah on Aug. 2 at Temple Etz Chaim in Thou sand Oaks. He is an honor student at Los Cerritos Middle School and the son of Lisa and Brian Hammer of Thousand Oaks. The writer shared with me the fact that her 22-year-old nephew was dealing with neurofibromatosis, a condition that causes tumors to grow on nerve tissue.
