Local students are scholarship winners

•Evan Green of Thousand Oaks was awarded the 2008-09 California Grocers Association Educational Foundation's Albertsons Kids for College Scholarship worth $1,000.

Green will attend UCLA this fall.

His high school accomplishments include superintendent's honors, and wind and jazz ensembles.

•Sean Davies of Westlake Village was awarded the 200809 California Grocers Association Educational Foundation's Bill Roulette Scholarship worth $2,500.

Davies will attend UC Davis this fall. His high school accomplishments include National Honor Society, student council and the football team.

Foundation scholarships are awarded to college students who are either employees or dependents of employees of CGA member companies.
