Dunn defends his decisions on the board of education

I get the impression Arleigh Kidd and Tina Aschenbrenner do not love me (through their letters to the editor).

Why? Arleigh Kidd's salary is paid for by the CTA (California Teachers Association). I'm the only Conejo Valley Unified School District member not taking money from the CTA. The CTA considers my pro-parent bias a threat to its control of public education.

The CTA opposes Proposition 4, parental notification, and has donated $250,000 to defeat Proposition 8 (man/woman marriage). The CTA agenda is one reason parents are taking their children out of public schools. This agenda is (also) contributing to this district's budget problems. (source: www.cta.org/issues)

Tina Aschenbrenner is an American Civil Liberties Union supporter. Both Kidd and Aschenbrenner want to indoctrinate our children. I oppose their agenda and support parents teaching children their values. Since they cannot corrupt me, they must slander me.

Chair rocker, "God bless Bush," "recovering gum chewer"? All true. That said, no one is a stronger advocate for the rights and wishes of the parents with children in our public schools. No one.

I'm also the only board member who typically ever answers emails and returns phone calls.

We have some problems in public education caused by this CTA/ACLU agenda. Their antiparent agenda is causing an exodus from the public schools.

I could surrender, take the CTA silver coins, betray and ignore the parents, never answer emails, succumb to political correctness and vote yes 100 percent of the time.
