PROPER SQUIRREL DIET INCLUDES FRUIT, NOT JUST NUTS- As everyone knows, squirrels are notorious burglars, constantly stealing birdseed from their fellow tree dwellers. Judy Knauer of Newbury Park said this thief stole a pear from her tree and managed to get it to the other side of the yard and up on a wall before eating it. Dieticians would probably agree that squirrels shouldn't live on just nuts and birdseed.
