A 10,000-book giveaway will be held from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sat., Sept. 6 at Bank of Books, 748 E. Main St., Ventura.

Guests will be allowed to take up to 20 books free of charge while supplies last.

The event is intended to help the economy and encourage reading throughout Ventura County.

Books valued from $1 to $50 will be represented.

Guests are encouraged to arrive early to find parking.
