Autism the topic at local church T.O. resident Keri Bowers will present two short pieces taken from her two documentaries, "Normal People Scare Me: A Film About Autism" and "The Sandwich Kid: A Film About Siblings And Disabilities," at 7:30 p.m. Fri., Sept. 19 at the Conejo Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 3327 Old Conejo Road, Newbury Park. The event is free and open to the public. After the screening, Bowers will discuss autism with her two sons, Taylor Cross and Jace King, whom the films are about. Bowers is an autism advocate, speaker, seminar leader and filmmaker. She's recently returned from Japan where she presented a seminar for the Exceptional Family Member Program.
