Thousand Oaks

On suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, the following subjects were arrested at the times, dates and places indicated: A male, 21, at 7:50 p.m. Aug. 18 at St. Charles Place and Wilbur Road (subject allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign); a male, 23, at 2:25 a.m. Aug. 16 in the 100 block of N. Moorpark Road; a male, 32, at 2:25 a.m. Aug. 16 on Thousand Oaks Boulevard, east of Westlake Boulevard; and a male, 60, at 9:25 a.m. Aug. 18 at Lakeview Canyon Road and Windhaven Drive.

The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substances: A male, 22, at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 19 in the 600 block of Paseo La Perla; a male, 22, at 8:35 a.m. Aug. 15 in the 3600 block of Corte Cancion (subject also allegedly ran away from police during a probation search); and a male, 22, at 7:50 p.m. Aug. 16 at Calle Yucca and Calle Manzanas.

A female, 45, was arrested for allegedly placing poison in public water at 9:45 a.m. Aug. 21 in the first block of N. Duesenberg Drive.

A male, 18, and several others allegedly battered people with bats, pipes and crowbars in the head and torso, causing severe injuries, around 7 p.m. July 19 at Avenida Del Platino and Calle Zafiro. The suspect was identified in a photographic lineup. During a search of his home, police found an unregistered handgun that belonged to the suspect, who was arrested at 7:30 a.m. Aug. 15 in the 1100 block of Calle Almendro.

A male, 19, was arrested on suspicion of being in a known criminal street gang, assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy to commit a crime at 10 a.m. Aug. 14 in the 800 block of Sheffield Place.

During a traffic stop at the northbound 101 Freeway and Westlake Boulevard at 8:50 p.m. July 20, a male, 27, was arrested and charged with possession for sale of a controlled substance and attempting to transport narcotics.

A male, 23, was arrested on a charge of domestic violence at 11:40 a.m. Aug. 19 in the 2000 block of Los Feliz Drive.

A male, 44, was arrested and charged with pushing and injuring his girlfriend at 9:50 p.m. Aug. 20 in the 600 block of Warwick Avenue.

A male, 37, allegedly pushed his girlfriend into a gate, causing injuries, and was arrested at 8:30 p.m. Aug. 21 in the 2400 block of Hood Drive.

A male, 78, was arrested and charged with disobeying a domestic relations restraining order at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 15 in the 3600 block of Chadwick Court.

Redwood Middle School was vandalized with spray paint on Aug. 18 or 19.

On suspicion of throwing a cup of soda at a moving vehicle at Moorpark Road and Avenida de Los Arboles on July 28, a male, 18, was arrested at 11:45 a.m. Aug. 19. Another male, 18, was arrested and charged with throwing an unknown object at the same scene.

A male, 52, allegedly stole money from two people and was arrested at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 21 in the first block of E. Hillcrest Drive.

A female, 25, was arrested and charged with forgery at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 15 in the 1600 block of N. Moorpark Road.

The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public: A male, 40, at 6 p.m. Aug. 20 in the 300 block of Capitan Street; a male, 27, at Thousand Oaks Boulevard and Conejo School Road (subject was allegedly passed out on the sidewalk); a male, 20, at 2:50 a.m. Aug. 22 in the 600 block of Brossard Drive (subject reportedly wasn't wearing a shirt, had trouble walking straight and was yelling and screaming at someone); a male, 51, at 9:20 p.m. Aug. 14 at Vons at 1790 N. Moorpark Road; a male, 38, at 12:30 a.m. Aug. 18 at Thousand Oaks Boulevard and Houston Drive (subject was allegedly passed out on the sidewalk); a male, 26, at 2:20 a.m. Aug. 18 at Hillcrest and Skyline drives; a male, 51, at 2:30 a.m. Aug. 18 at Hillcrest and Skyline drives; and a male, 20, at 8:15 p.m. Aug. 18 in the 200 block of E. Janss Road.

A male, 26, was cited for possessing a small amount of marijuana at 12:30 a.m. Aug. 21 at Moorpark Road and Avenida de Las Flores.

For trying to conceal a brown plastic bag that contained marijuana under a mattress, a male, 51, was cited at 1:40 a.m. Aug. 18 in the 2800 block of Los Feliz Drive.

A shoplifter entered Big 5 Sporting Goods store at 43 W. Thousand Oaks Blvd., put on a new pair of shoes and left without paying for them around 8:15 p.m. Aug. 18.

Gang-related graffiti was spray painted on a flood control channel behind Calle Zafiro and Avenida Del Platino on Aug. 17.

A business was targeted with $1,200 in graffiti damages in the 4500 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard on Aug. 16.

A mailbox was smashed off its post on Aug. 14 or 15 in the first block of Wales Street. The damage estimate is $150.

A mailbox valued at $150 was smashed on Aug. 14 or 15 in the 300 block of Bethany Street.

A vandal smashed a mailbox, causing $25 in damages, on Aug. 14 or 15 in the 1300 block of Sheffield Place.

Three coin boxes on washing machines were pried open on Aug. 14 in the 400 block of E. Wilbur Road.

Chef Burger at 1771 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd. was burglarized on Aug. 15 or 16.

A burglar broke into a washing machine's coin box and stole an unknown amount of money in the 2000 block of W. Hillcrest Drive on Aug. 16.

Three flower pots were stolen in the 100 block of Wildrose Drive on Aug. 17 or 18.

A thief stole a pressure water and leaf blower, a total loss of $1,400, from a storage room at Atria Senior Living Group at 405 Hodencamp Road between Aug. 14 and 18.

Property was stolen midday on Aug. 18 in the 700 block of Brossard Drive.

Vehicle break-ins occurred on the following dates and places: Between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. Aug. 19 in the 2400 block of Willow Lane; two vehicles on Aug. 12 or 13 in the 2200 block of Shadow Spring Place; between 10 and 10:15 a.m. Aug. 15 in the 100 block of N. Moorpark Road (unlocked); on Aug. 15 in the 1000 block of Calle Arroyo; and between 5 and 6:10 p.m. Aug. 18 in the 800 block of S. Westlake Boulevard.

A vandal smashed the windshield of a vehicle, heavily keyed its hood, passenger side doors and tailgate, causing $2,000 in damages on Aug. 20 or 21 in the 3000 block of Crescent Way.

A catalytic converter of a vehicle was stolen on Aug. 14 or 15 in the 2100 block of Sonoma Court. A similar crime occurred on Aug. 14 or 15 in the 1700 block of Orinda Court.
