Foster homes needed for Siamese cats

2008-08-28 / Community

Southern California Siamese Rescue, a nonprofit corporation, is seeking foster homes for abandoned and rescued Siamese cats.

Foster families provide a spare room, food, litter and care. Any resident cats in the foster home should be indoor only and negative for feline HIV and feline leukemia. The rescue agency will pay for approved medical costs.

Siamese Rescue does not have a shelter facility but rather fosters cats in private homes until adoption. Lack of foster homes is the single greatest obstacle to taking in cats, even more than money. Kitten season is here, and the need for more volunteers and foster parents is critical.
