Audubon Society announces events

The Ventura County Audubon Society has announced its events schedule for September.

•Dee Lyon will lead a group to the Santa Clara River Mouth Sat., Sept. 6 to look for ducks, sandpipers, herons, terns, plovers, phalaropes, turnstones, moorhens, pipits and ospreys. •The Conejo Valley chapter will celebrate its 40th anniversary at 7:30 p.m. Mon., Sept. 8 at the Western Foundation of Vertebrate Zoology, 439 Calle San Pablo, Camarillo. The meeting will include slide shows of the group's summer activities. For more information, call (805) 987-2721.
