Simpson helps U.S. earn show jumping gold

Will Simpson, who trains at the Thousand Oaks-based El Campeon Farms, helped lead the U.S. equestrian team to a gold medal in show jumping at the Beijing Olympics.

Tied with Canada in the finale, the Americans won the first-ever Olympic jump-off Monday in Hong Kong to finish first.

Simpson's faultless final ride in 38.45 seconds helped seal the gold for the U.S. team.
