United Blood Services will conduct a blood drive from 8:30 a.m. to noon Sat., Aug. 30 at the Ventura County Farmers' Market, Santa Clara and Palm streets in downtown Ventura.

Individuals can look for the United Blood Services van at the location. Both walkins and appointments will be accepted.

Those interested in giving blood must be well and healthy and have identification. Individuals who donate a pint of blood will receive $5 in gift certificates good for purchases at the farmers' market as well as a coupon for a free 24-ounce smoothie at Blenders. Donors can also enter a drawing to win a Prius.
