•Courtyard Serenade, 7 p.m. today, Thurs., Aug. 21. Different musical genres under the stars every Thursday evening. Today, country & western singer Cindy Alonge. Sponsored by the Friends of the Thousand Oaks Library.

•Celebrating Leo Politi, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sat., Aug. 23. Day-long centennial celebration of artist and author Leo Politi with both children's and adult programs, sidewalk art, caricature artist and more.
