Hebrew school receives accreditation Conejo Hebrew High School, a supplementary foreign language school in Agoura Hills, received its independent accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) in July. The school, which has enjoyed a 30 percent annual increase in enrollment since its founding in 2004, had previously been affiliated with Valley Torah, an accredited high school in Valley Village. Upon completing the WASC accreditation, the school was praised for its differentiated learning program and advanced level of Hebrew studies. Under the direction of Dr. Orit Ziv, Conejo Hebrew High implemented an instruction plan that catered to the needs of students from Hebrew and nonHebrew speaking families. "We have students with no previous knowledge of Hebrew as well as those seeking to take their SAT II exam in Hebrew," Orit said. "We're large enough to offer six levels of language but small enough so that everyone knows each other. We're a very cohesive family."
