Thousand Oaks

A male, 25, allegedly was driving his vehicle over 90 mph southbound on the 101 Freeway at Moorpark Road around midnight Aug. 1 and registered two blood alcohol content (BAC) readings of 0.14 percent and 0.13 percent. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and for not possessing a valid driver's license.

On suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, the following subjects were arrested at the times, dates and places indicated: A male, 54, at 10:56 a.m. Aug. 5 at the intersection of Tamarack Street and Nettlebrook Street; and a male, 34, at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 3 in the 2400 block of Avenida de Las Plantas (subject was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run accident).

The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substances: A male, 32, at 1 p.m. June 11 at Tubbs Street and Erbes Road (the subject was also arrested for the same offense on June 27 at the Rite Aid on Hillcrest Road and Moorpark Road); a male, 50, at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 6 at Fairview and Los Robles roads (subject also reportedly possessed a glass methamphetamine pipe); a male, 27, at 12:54 a.m. Aug. 4 in the 800 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard (subject was also arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance); a male, 44, at 6 p.m. Aug. 2 in the 900 block of Calle Tulipan (subject allegedly possessed a glass pipe commonly used to smoke rock cocaine); and a male, 21, at 9:15 p.m. July 30 at Princeton Road and Waverly Heights Drive (subject also reportedly possessed marijuana, several syringes, a spoon with burnt residue inside and packages that had black tar substance and a brown powder similar to heroin).

Shoppers bought a television from Best Buy at 390 N. Moorpark Road and left the store. A short time later, another shopper entered Best Buy with the same receipt, selected a similar television and left the store without paying for the item. The alleged crime happened between July 12 and Aug. 3.

A male, 18, reportedly parked his car in a handicap space without the proper placard displayed and possessed alcohol and less than one ounce of marijuana. The subject was cited for the violations at 2:15 p.m. Aug. 6 on Greenmeadow Avenue, west of Moorpark Road.

A male, 53, was arrested for allegedly dismantling an electrical line at 8:45 p.m. Aug. 2 in the 2800 block of Sirius Street.

A male, 38, was arrested for allegedly stealing pallets at 7:50 p.m. Aug. 7 on Townsgate and Triunfo Canyon roads.

A male, 45, was caught by video surveillance allegedly stealing $50 from his employer and was cited at 4:30 p.m. July 31 in the 200 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

For vandalizing property valued at $200, a male, 18, was cited at Moorpark and Janss roads.

On charges of possessing a fake Social Security card and resident alien card, and being drunk in public, a male, 24, was arrested at 9:10 a.m. Aug. 3 at Hampshire Road and Royal Oaks Drive.

The following subjects were cited for drinking in public: a male, 54, at 5:10 p.m. Aug. 1 in the 700 block of Thousand Oaks Boulevard; a male, 55, at 8:40 p.m. Aug. 2 at Wilbur Drive and Moorpark Avenue.

A thief stole a .32 caliber handgun and damaged a cable box on the night of Aug. 7 in the 800 block of St. Charles Drive.

A burglar entered a home with the intent to steal property between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. July 30 in the 800 block of Dorchester Street.

More than $400 in merchandise was stolen from a retailer in the 200 block of W. Hillcrest Drive between 5:41 and 5:46 p.m. July 31. A similar crime occurred at a neighboring store immediately afterward.

A television and accompanying stand were stolen on Aug. 1 or 2 in the 300 block of Hodencamp Road.

A mountain bike was stolen on Aug. 5 or 6 in the 500 block of Oaktree Lane.

A door was broken on Aug. 4 or 5 in the 2200 block of Townsgate Road.

A "Store Closing" sign was stolen from the front of a business between Aug. 2 and 4 in the 3600 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

Plant stems were broken on Aug. 3 or 4 in the 2700 block of Hilary Court.

Three vandals caused $200 in damages on Aug. 4 at Moorpark and Janss roads.

Property was stolen on the following dates and places: Between July 31 and Aug. 6 in the 3400 block of Auto Mall Drive; between Aug. 1 and 4 in the 400 block of Rolling Oaks Drive; on Aug. 2 in the 200 block of W. Hillcrest Drive ($970 in goods stolen); between July 16 and 24 in the 600 block of Hampshire Road; on July 30 in the 700 block of Calle Pecos.

Gang graffiti was discovered on a wooden fence on Aug. 1 in the 700 block of Old Farm Road.

A vandal damaged property between noon and 2 p.m. Aug. 7 in the 1300 block of Southwind Drive.

Vehicle break-ins occurred on the following dates and places: On Aug. 6 or 7 in the 3500 block of Quarzo Circle (more than $400 in property was stolen from unlocked vehicle); on July 29 or 30 in the 200 block of Erbes Road (a radar detector was stolen from unsecured vehicle); on Aug. 4 or 5 in the 400 block of N. Tuolumne Avenue (burglar tampered with and broke the car's starting mechanism, causing about $1,000 in damages); between 12:10 and 12:25 a.m. Aug. 3 in the 400 block of Oak Tree Lane (window broken).

A car window was damaged in the middle of the day on Aug. 6 in the 2000 block of Hopewell Street.

A vehicle was spray painted with graffiti between July 29 and Aug. 4 in the 400 block of Calle Yucca.

A vehicle was damaged on Aug. 3 in the 2400 block of Calle Narcisco.

A vandal shot two car windows with a pellet gun between Aug. 1 and 4 in the first block of Taylor Court.

The side window of a vehicle was broken between Aug. 1 and 6 in the 1500 block of Feather Avenue.

A U-Haul rental truck window was smashed on Aug. 3 or 4 in the 1300 block of N. Moorpark Road.

A catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle between 3 and 4 p.m. Aug. 4 in the 1400 block of Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

Auto parts were stolen on Aug. 4 at Pleasant Way and Oak View Drive, and also at Hillcrest Drive and Gazania Court on the same day.
