Event for caretakers and families of elderly coming Saturday

An Education Seminar and Resource Fair for people dealing with the care of aging parents will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sat., Aug. 16 at Los Robles Hospital East Campus, 150 Via Merida, Westlake Village.

The fair is free and open to the public and will feature speakers and informational booths from numerous agencies, such as Meals on Wheels, the Alzheimer's Association, DMV, Dial-A-Ride and Ventura County Area Agency on Aging.

Dr. Lanyard K. Dial, CEO and medical director of Livingston Visiting Nurse Association, will discuss "Care of the Caregiver" at 2:15 p.m.

Betty Berry, Senior Concerns advocate and newspaper columnist, will speak at 3:30 p.m. on "Improving Communicating with Your Aging Parent."
