Conejo Players Theatre to hold auditions for 'Goodbye Charlie'
Conejo Players Theatre will hold auditions for "Goodbye Charlie," a farce by George Axelrod, at 7 p.m. Sun., Aug. 24 and 7:30 p.m. Mon. and Tues., Aug. 25 and 26 at the theater, 351 S. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks.
The play is about a playboy and cad named Charlie who is reincarnated as a beautiful woman and the transition between Charlie as he was and who she is becoming.
Performances are Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from Nov. 14 to Dec. 13. No conflicts are allowed during tech week or performance dates.
Auditions consist of cold readings from the script. All roles are open. No appointment is necessary. There is no pay.
Production staff, tech crew and running crew positions are available.
Characters are: Charlie, mid to late 20s and female; George, late 30s, Charlie's friend; Rusty, early to mid 30s, wife of a powerful movie producer; Franny, 30s, Girl Scouttype wife of a studio executive.
The following three roles may be combined: Greg Morris, 40s to 60s, Charlie's lawyer; Irving, 40s to 60s, Charlie's agent; Mr. Shriber, 40s to 60s, Charlie's CPA.
