Three of Ventura County's best alternative rock bands will play Thurs., Aug. 14 at The Canyon, 28912 Roadside Drive, Agoura Hills, inside the Whizin's Center.

The bands are Citizen Rising, Full Switch Coma and Aces High, which won the Rock City News Rockies Award for best alternative band in 2007.

Two of Aces High's members, John Anagnos and Mark Borbas, are graduates of Thousand Oaks High School.

A.J. Anagnos, lead vocalist and guitarist, attended TOHS from 2005 to 2007 and is now a student at the High School at Moorpark College.

A new member of Aces High, Matt Dilts, attends Camarillo High School.
