Manna still needs food

Manna needs donations to help get the food bank through the heavy need it has encountered this summer, said John Gorham, executive director.
Many groups and private citizens have filled vehicles and dropped off donations, and all of that has been greatly appreciated, he said, but they still need more.
"During the summer we have children home from school who usually get free breakfasts and lunches," he said.
They have also had more middle-class people come by because of the economy, he said.
The food bank, 3020 Crescent Way, is open three days a week on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. For more information, call (805) 497-4959.
