CHP offers teen driving class

The California Highway Patrol will offer a Smart Start traffic safety program for teens and their parents at 6:30 p.m. tonight, Thurs., Aug. 14, at the Ventura Area CHP office, 4656 Valentine Road, Ventura.

The program is aimed at helping teenage drivers become aware of the responsibilities that come with a driver's license. It is an educational tool for parents and teens in an effort to reduce the number of teenage injuries and deaths from traffic collisions.
