Astronomical Society to meet The Ventura County Astronomical Society will meet at 7:30 p.m. Fri., Aug. 15 in the multipurpose room at Mesa Union School, 3901 Mesa School Road, Somis. The speaker is Denis Svehkarev, executive board chair and co-founder of UkrAstro Foundation, an amateur astronomers society. He'll discuss amateur astronomy in Kharkov, Ukraine.
