California Dreamin' for free at park

Conejo Recreation and Park District will present a free Concert in the Park at 5 p.m. Sun., Aug. 10 at Conejo Community Park, 1175 Hendrix Ave. in Thousand Oaks.

The concert features California Dreamin': A Musical Journey Through the Golden State. The ensemble—complete with costumes, props and visual imagery— performs a wide variety of pop songs from and about California, including hit tunes from the Beach Boys, The Eagles, Buffalo Springfield and more.

Concertgoers are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner but leave pets at home. Parking is limited to surface streets around the park.
