Motorcyclist critically hurt

Responding to a traffic crash, authorities from the T.O. Police Department rushed to the intersection of Janss and Moorpark roads at 2 a.m. Mon., Aug. 4 and found a 26yearold Thousand Oaks man unconscious and his motorcycle on fire a short distance away from him.

Michael O'Donnell was assisted by paramedics and rushed in critical condition to the emergency room at Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center.

A preliminary investigation revealed that O'Donnell was going north on Moorpark Road at Janss Road. For reasons unknown, he hit a curb and lost control of his motorcycle. Both O'Donnell and his motorcycle hit a tree before coming to a stop.

Speed and alcohol may have been a factor, police said in a press release.
