      It's been tough. Life after "Sex and the City" and "Mamma Mia!" For weeks now, my wife has been walking around the house humming "Dancing Queen." It hits me about 2 in the morning.

Conejo Players presents 'Annie Get Your Gun'
      Conejo Players Theatre presents the musical comedy, "Annie Get Your Gun," opening 8 p.m. Fri., Aug. 22 at the theater, 351 S. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks. The play runs through Sept. 20. Showtimes are 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays.

Village Voices Chorale hosts auditions
      Village Voices Chorale will host auditions begin Aug. 25 for the upcoming concert "That Holiday Feeling" at the Thousand Oaks Civic Plaza Scherr Forum Theatre on Dec. 12 and 13. All singers may try out, especially those with choral singing experience and sight-reading skills.

AC/DC tribute band, Bonfire, to play The Canyon tonight
      Bonfire, an AC/DC tribute band with members who live in Simi Valley and Moorpark, headlines tonight's 11 p.m. show at The Canyon in Agoura Hills. James Pulli, Bonfire bassist and Simi resident, recalled the band's huge reception when they headlined the Big Ball festival in Wrexham, Wales, in August 2006.

Business Expo to include food sample
      The T.O.Westlake Village Regional Chamber of Commerce will host its Summer Business Expo from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Wed., Aug. 20 at Mary and Richard Carpenter Park in front of the Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd. The event is free and open to the public and will showcase local vendors and businesses.
