The nonprofit organization Girl's Empowerment Center is hosting a workshop for teenage girls from 4 to 6 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from Aug. 11 to 22.

The workshop, aimed at counseling girls from 13 to 18, will be at the Girl's Empowerment Center, 2500 Townsgate Road, Ste. H, in Westlake Village.

The Women's SelfDefense and Empowerment Group of Newbury Park will assist at the event.
