Newbury Park softball squad takes first

RED-HOT—The Newbury Park U-10 Gold girls' softball team finished in first place at the Beat the Heat tournament in Goleta. Newbury Park went 5-0 in the event and upended Santa Monica in the title game, 6-2. The girls dedicated the win to teammate Katlin Bowers and her family.
