Baby sitters certified by Boys & Girls Clubs
      The Boys & Girls Clubs of Conejo & Las Virgenes trained 14 youths ages 11 to 15 in child care in the baby sitter's training workshop held at Colina Middle School in Thousand Oaks. The class was taught by an American Red Cross instructor.

Red Cross goes green
      The American Red Cross of Ventura County is renovating its Camarillo headquarters to be LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified with a silver certification. According to the U.S. Green Building Council, the LEED Green Building Rating System is the industryrecognized, voluntary standard that defines high performance green buildings.
