The Santa Paula Downtown Merchants Association invites local artists to submit entries for the Hot Summer Jazz and Art event which will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. Sat., Aug. 23 in historic downtown Santa Paula.

Each selected artist will be allowed a 10-foot-by-10-foot space on the closed Main Street in front of the Mupu Grill and South Paseo. Electricity is provided.

Each artist is responsible for his own setup. Selected artists must attend their exhibits, and all work must be created by the artist. Decorative and functional arts of all types will be considered.

All work must be for sale.

Booth space is free; however, a 20 percent commission on all sales will be charged. Sales will be handled and sales tax collected by the Downtown Merchants Association.

To enter, send an e-mail to rmargolin@ci.santa-paula.ca.us with the following information: one to three images of artwork via PDF, name, mailing address, phone number, e-mail address and general category of artwork.
