      Anthony Carucci of Thousand Oaks made the dean's list for the spring semester at Tufts University in Massachusetts. Carucci, who expects to graduate in 2011, had a gradepoint average of 3.4 or greater.

      Nicholas Panzica was named to the spring term 2008 dean's list at Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Conn. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Panzica of Thousand Oaks. Choate Rosemary Hall is an independent secondary school enrolling 848 boarding and day students from 42 states and 27 countries.

Summer jazz/art festival calls for artists' entries
      The Santa Paula Downtown Merchants Association invites local artists to submit entries for the Hot Summer Jazz and Art event which will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. Sat., Aug. 23 in historic downtown Santa Paula. Each selected artist will be allowed a 10-foot-by-10-foot space on the closed Main Street in front of the Mupu Grill and South Paseo.
