Actors sought for a look back at local history
      The Conejo Valley Historical Society is looking for actors to portray Chumash people, Spanish explorers and early local families in a new historical program. Auditions will take place from 9 a.m. to noon, Sat., Aug. 2 and 9 at the Stagecoach Inn Museum, 51 S. Ventu Park Road, Newbury Park.

      The Arts at St. Patrick's Performing Arts Ministry presents (Another) Grand Night For Singing at 7 p.m. Sun., Aug. 24 at St. Patrick's Episcopal Church, 1 Church Road, Thousand Oaks.
