Wellness seeks potential sponsors

The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura is seeking sponsors for its Garden of Hope groundbreaking event scheduled for 2 p.m. Sun., Sept. 7 at 530 Hampshire Road, Thousand Oaks.

The free celebration, "Help Plant the Seeds of Hope," is open to the public and will include entertainment, refreshments and opportunities to become involved in the garden, which will serve as a tribute to people living with cancer and those helping them.

"Once the garden is complete, our program participants will benefit from the additional space and the features we are incorporating," said Suzanne Drace, president of the Wellness Community. "Our children's program, Kid's Circle, is at full capacity, and the garden allows us the ability to provide them with a wonderful new outdoor learning experience."
