Speaker to discuss U.S. housing crisis
James Devine, professor of economics at Loyola Marymount University, will deliver a lecture on " The Housing Crisis: Where Do We Go From Here" at 7:30 p.m. Fri., Aug. 15 at the Conejo Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 3331 Old Conejo Road, Newbury Park.
The lecture is free, and the public is invited.
The discussion will follow the historical origins of the current housing and financial crisis, and the outlook for the nation's economic future.
Devine received a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Yale University and a doctorate in economics from UC Berkeley.
The program is presented by the Community Forum, a group established by the Conejo Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship to present monthly events addressing issues important to the community that reflect the fellowship's values.
