Renowned chef Wolfgang Puck opened a new restaurant July 14 in Westlake Village.

Wolfgang Puck L.A. Bistro is at 30990 Russell Ranch Road West, next to Dakota Steakhouse.

The Austrianborn chef began his formal culinary training at age 14 and now oversees an empire of fine dining and casual restaurants, catering services and licensed products.

For more than 25 years, Chef Puck has catered to Hollywood's elite and some of the industry's most prestigious events.

Dress code at the Westlake restaurant is casual, and reservations are not required.

The average customer check will be $12 to $15 for a menu that includes Puck's signature dishes and seasonal specialties, according to the restaurant.
