Club gets an international influence
     ENJOYING AMERICA- The two boys on the left, Cinna, 14, and Goya Razavi, 13, enjoy activities during their first day in the U.S. visiting Kevin Barati, left, a seventh-grader at Colina Middle School in Thousand Oaks. The threesome enjoyed speed, quickness and agility classes at the school's Boys & Girls Club. Cinna and Goya are of Iranian descent but live in Luxembourg. Art exhibit to be held at Hillcrest Center
      The Arts Council of the Conejo Valley will present Hot Summer Art 2008, An Exhibit of Art through September 21 in the Galleria at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks. Admission is free.

CVUSD employees honored for achievement
      After receiving a record number of nominees for this year's classified employee outstanding achievement award, a local school district has honored two of their most prized employees. Debbie Hanna, a planning technician, and Michael Buckley, maintenance lead dispatcher, were Conejo Valley Unified School District's honorees.
