Local Elk is new national committee leader

Richard J. Goldner of Thousand Oaks Elks Lodge No. 2477 was appointed as chairman to the orders' National Public Relations Committee at the 144th national convention held in Anaheim the first week of July.

In this position, Goldner will serve the national governing body of the Elks, known as the Grand Lodge, by training the public relations chairmen of the state Elks associations. He will also advise local lodges and state associations about Grand Lodge activities and programs, promote the agenda and accomplishments of the order, and work with national and local media.
