Girl Scouts learn about business world
ENJOYING THEIR VISIT- Junior Girl Scout Troop No. 717 from Thousand Oaks visits the Dairy Queen at Lindero Canyon Road and Thousand Oaks Boulevard in the city of Westlake Village for supper and a behind-the-scenes look at an ice cream parlor. The owner, Rick Silverman, and his staff showed the girls how to make ice cream cakes, waffle bowls and cones. At center, above is Silverman, flanked by Dairy Queen workers Shelly Jones, left, and Vanessa Wilson. The Scouts, who attend either Hillcrest or Oaks Christian schools, are from left: Gabrielle Groll, Hadley George, Maggie Philen, Katarina Bradford and Korah Davis. |
