MIKE HOUSER/Special to the Acorn IT'S JUST A LITTLE CRUSH- Conejo Valley's Michael Shaw drills a pitch during the Little League District 13 Juniors All-Star tournament at Channel Islands High. After losing its first game to Thousand Oaks, CVLL battled back to win four straight contests, including a thrilling come-from-behind victory over Moorpark in which they were down by scores of 7-1 and 11-4, to advance to Tuesday's final against Sunset. The team's magical ride came to an end, however, as Sunset prevailed 3-1 in the championship. Said Conejo Valley head coach Charlie Shaw: "They never gave up. They came back and practiced hard day after day. They played baseball like they should. It was an outstanding effort by all the guys."
