Pepperdine names guild officers

LEADERSHIP- Members of Pepperdine University's Arts Guild prepare for a fresh year of service. The Pepperdine University Center for the Arts Guild named its officers for 200809 at a recent luncheon at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks.

Ellen Weitman was reelected as president.

Other officers included vice president and co-chair of events Linda Beisswanger of Hidden Hills; vice presidents and cochairs of communications Susie Cowen and Sylvia Sherwood of Westlake Village; financier Lynda Miller of Thousand Oaks; and vice president of advancement Karen Orefice of Thousand Oaks.

The Center for the Arts Guild, based at the Pepperdine campus in Malibu and founded in 1991, is a group of community leaders who raise awareness and support for the fine arts at Pepperdine University and Seaver College.
