Summer jazz concerts coming

The theme for the sixth annual Summer Jazz Concerts series is "A Salute to Women in Jazz."

Concerts will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Sundays with free admission at Gardens of the World, 2001 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd.

Following is the schedule of performers.

•Lori Andrews Contemporary Jazz Harp, July 20.

•Jeannie Tatum and Company, July 27.

•Nedra Wheeler Strings and Things, Aug. 3.

•Lady Jazz Kickin' Brazz with vocalist Sweet Baby J'ai, Aug. 10.

•Singers on Parade, A Tribute to Rita and Bob Agnew," Aug. 17.

•The Maiden Voyage AllStars, Aug. 24.

Parking for the concerts is available on Thousand Oaks Boulevard or across the street at the Civic Arts Plaza for a fee.

Attendees should bring blankets or chairs for lawn seating and may bring picnic dinners. Pets, smoking and glass containers are not allowed.

The events are sponsored by the Hogan Family Foundation Inc.; Pat Helton, Realtor; and the Dole Food Company.
