After performing in more than 40 countries and having won more than a dozen international awards for his work, Jason Latimer and his team of special guests will present a show for all ages in Thousand Oaks.

Some of the most advanced illusions in magic will be presented for one night only at 7 p.m., Sun. Aug. 10. It will be presented at the Fred Kavli Theatre at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.

Latimer is dedicating the show to young people.

Latimer, who graduated from Agoura High School, is only the third American in history to hold the title "Grand Prix Best Overall World Champion of Magic." The title is bestowed by the International Federation of Magic Societies.

Latimer's show is called "Illusions for the 21st Century."

Guests will see a laser light turned into a solid, bending light; the shaping of water; 360degree levitations; large objects appear and disappear; and much more. Latimer blends technology and illusion at an unparalleled level.

Proceeds will benefit youth in the Conejo Valley and surrounding areas through the Kiwanis Club of Thousand Oaks Charitable Foundation, which was recently named "Service Club of the Year" for its support of youth, seniors and others in need.

First California Bank and Time Warner Cable have helped make the show possible.

Tickets range in price from $32 to $75, and $29 for children 18 and under.
