The Home Buying School will host free classes from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursdays for potential homebuyers at the Goebel Senior Adult Center, 1385 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks.

The classes are "Understanding, Improving and Maintaining Credit" on July 24 and Aug. 21, and "Firsttime Home Buyer Programs" on Aug. 7.

Classes are open to all ages and are free- no sales.

The programs will present the importance of creating a plan for homeownership; safe, fixed financing options available; and current market conditions.

The Home Buying School is a free, nongovernmental service organization and educational resource.
