Sheriff's Blotter Newbury Park On suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substances, the following subjects were arrested: A female, 29, at 4:55 p.m. June 21 in the 100 block of La Fortuna Drive; a male, 37, at 4:29 p.m. June 21 in the 700 block of Calle Las Colinas (subject was also arrested on charges of resisting arrest and possessing drug paraphernalia); and a female, 29, at 12:35 p.m. June 20 in the 100 block of La Fortuna Drive. A female, 18, was arrested on a domestic violence allegation at 2:30 p.m. June 20 in the 2900 block of Michael Drive. A male, 19, at the scene was arrested 10 minutes later on suspicion of committing battery. On suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant, a male, 19, was arrested at 1:52 p.m. June 20 in the 2300 block of Michael Drive. A male, 20, was arrested at 3 p.m. June 23 for his alleged involvement in the theft of a Sony PlayStation from the Radio Shack at 2110 Newbury Road. The crime, believed to have occurred on March 11, was allegedly planned and discussed before the thieves entered the store. A male, 44, was arrested June 19 in Moorpark and charged with filing a false police report and making a false insurance claim through his homeowners insurance. The crime may have occurred in the 5200 block of Via Patricia. A female, 26, was arrested on a charge of identity theft at 11:15 a.m. June 24 in the 2600 block of Conejo Spectrum. A male, 23, after being stopped for driving with tinted windows and having an expired driver's license, allegedly lied to police about his name. He was arrested at 2:45 p.m. June 25 at Lynn Road, east of E. Kelley Road. A vehicle was keyed around 10:30 a.m. June 7 in the 400 block of N. Reino Road. A bicycle was stolen from the inside of an open garage on June 19 in the 4300 block of Via Juanita. A male, 28, allegedly stole water from a hydrant around 12:25 p.m. June 17 near Calle Clara Vista and Cayo Grande. The subject was cited on June 25. Property was stolen on June 6 or 7 in the 300 block of Greenway Avenue. A burglar attempted to break into a home on June 20 in the 200 block of Maple Road. A GPS system and portable radio were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on June 12 or 13 in the 1800 block of W. Hillcrest Drive. Thousand Oaks A female, 46, was involved in a noninjury traffic accident at Willow Lane and Hampshire Road around 6:37 p.m. June 22. When an officer went to speak with her, the subject reportedly got back into her car and drove away at a high rate of speed, ran a red light and failed to yield to emergency lights and sirens; she had her 5year-old daughter in the car and was believed to be under the influence of alcohol. A male, 19, allegedly conspired with another person to commit a commercial burglary on April 8 in the 1600 block of N. Moorpark Road. According to reports, the man entered a business with a second subject knowing that the latter person attempted to activate stolen lottery tickets; the man in question attempted to block the video surveillance camera while the second suspect cashed in the stolen tickets. The 19-year-old male subject was arrested June 23 at the East Valley Sheriff's Station. A male, 46, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol at 12:29 a.m. June 22 on Hillcrest Drive at the 23 Freeway. On suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substances, the following subjects were arrested: A male, 52, at 7:55 p.m. June 20 in the 2900 block of Teal Court; and a female, 49, at 9:55 p.m. June 20 in the 1300 block of La Jolla Drive. A female, 19, was cited for possessing several hypodermic syringes and an open bottle of alcohol inside her vehicle at 12:45 p.m. June 23 in the 700 block of Via Colinas. A male, 29, was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance, bringing drugs into a jail facility and drinking in public at 9:05 p.m. June 21 in the 1000 block of Avenida de Los Arboles. On a charge of domestic battery, a female, 43, was arrested at 12:15 a.m. June 26 in the 2900 block of Canna Street. A male, 56, was cited for battery at 6:15 p.m. June 23 in the 1800 block of W. Hillcrest Drive. A male, 18, was arrested and charged with felony vandalism at 1:10 p.m. June 23 at East Valley Sheriff's Station. Vandals spray painted graffiti, causing $2,000 in damages, at Acacia Elementary Schoolon June 24 or 25. Vandal(s) cut the chain-link fence at Westlake Hills Elementary School, entered the school grounds and caused $1,000 in damages on June 24 or 25. For allegedly stealing a CD valued at $15 from Borders bookstore at 125 W. Thousand Oaks Boulevard, a male, 19, was cited at 1:25 p.m. June 22. Money was stolen from a Big 5 Sporting Goods store at 43 W. Thousand Oaks Boulevard on June 16. A burglar broke into Best Buy at 390 N. Moorpark Road with the apparent intention of stealing goods between 2:36 and 2:50 a.m. June 24. Gasoline was siphoned from a parked vehicle on June 23 or 24 in the 2700 block of Vistawood Drive. A bedroom window was broken in attempted burglary around 1:23 a.m. June 23 in the 2000 block of Los Feliz Drive. Vehicle break-ins occurred on the following dates and places: On June 25 in the 400 block of Gainsborough Road (passenger window shattered, property stolen); between 12:15 and 12:38 a.m. June 26 in the 600 block of Calle Pensamiento (attempted); between June 12 and 17 in the 400 block of N. Moorpark Road; on June 20 or 21 in the 1400 block of Norman Avenue (window broken and GPS system stolen); on June 21 or 22 in the 2800 block of Instone Court (cellphone and GPS system stolen from unlocked vehicle); on June 22 or 23 in the 2100 block of Summerpark Court (unlocked); and on June 25 in the 1500 block of Pachino Circle (window smashed). A vandal threw rocks and broke a car windshield on June 21 or 22 in the 1500 block of Norman Avenue. Property was stolen on June 24 or 25 in the 300 block of Hodencamp Road. Property was stolen between April 22 and June 6 in the 2800 block of Sirius Street. Two males, 61 and 55, were cited for drinking in public at 4:10 p.m. June 20 in the 700 block of Thousand Oaks Boulevard. Police RSS feed |
