La Reina High School student Emily Rossi was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from California Credit Union.

The scholarship was presented during an award ceremony held recently in Glendale.

In recognition of California Credit Union's 75th anniversary, a total of 75 $1,000 scholarships were awarded to students throughout Los Angeles County.

To be eligible for the scholarship students needed a minimum grade-point average of 3.0 and plans to attend an accredited college or university.
