Spiritual center changes name
      The Westlake Church of Religious Science has changed its name to the Center for Spiritual Living. The center is in the Watercourt complex at 880 Hampshire Road, Westlake Village. The church was chartered in 1963 by Religious Science International and has been a presence in the Conejo Valley for 44 years.

Jewish Center gets new Torah scroll
      ChabadThousand Oaks Jewish Center recently celebrated the dedication of a newly completed Torah scroll. The Sunday celebration began at a local, private residence with a completion ceremony presided over by a ritual scribe. The scribe assisted community members as the last few letters were written in the holy scroll.

      The Conejo Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will launch a monthly speaker series from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Fri., July 18 at 3331 Old Conejo Road, Newbury Park.

Concert will benefit local food banks
      The second annual Music4Meals concert will be held outdoors, weather permitting, from 4 to 7 p.m. Sat., July 26 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1 W. Avenida de Los Arboles, Thousand Oaks. The public is invited and is asked to bring nonperishable food, blankets, pillows or toiletry items which will be distributed to local food banks and to the needy.
